Dar Al Ber Society, dedicated to philanthropic and religious work, has carried out an array of essential cultural and Dawah projects over its 37-year shiny procession.

The leading UAE charity association, based in Dubai, has spent Dh88,433,691 on cultural and Dawah programs since its inception in 1979 and up till the end of last year, as per official figures.

The cultural schemes assumed spanned the Holy Quran printing; a pioneering project that cost up to Dh64,205,570, according to Abdullah Ali bin Zayed, executive director of Dar Al Ber Society.

“The Society has also supported Quran study centres with Dh12,458,848, printed scientific books and references against Dh7,084,010, and spent Dh4,685,263 on preparing, printing and distributing diverse cultural brochures.”

Dar Al Ber has so far printed 6,659,410 copies of the Holy Quran ‘Al Ber Version’, he added. “We have also qualified 1,364 students as part of ‘Al Ber Quran Memorisation’ project.”

The Islamic Information Centre under the Dar Al Ber Society has also helped 24,913,000 male and female residents of different nationalities convert to Islam since its foundation in 1993, Bin Zayed disclosed.

“Dar Al Ber is now running 24 Quran study centres in the emirates of Dubai, Ajman, and Ras Al Khaimah whereas the religious, scientific and cultural books published amounted to 814,688, leave alone 1,227,508 cultural leaflets.”
