Dar Al-Ber society , On the occasion of World Widows' Day, which will be held on 23rd of June, confirmed that it has given care and support to widows in the UAE and abroad, while the number of widows benefiting from the material and living assistance provided by the society during the last year 2018 reached 166 , at a cost of 1,388.226 AED.
Abdullah bin Zayed Al Falasi, Executive Director of Dar Al-ber Society, said that the number of widows benefiting from the society's assistance in Dubai from January to June 2019 is estimated at 53 widows at a cost of 496,830 AED.
Al-Falasi said that Dar Al-Ber is participating today in the celebration of World Widows’ Day, which was approved by the United Nations General Assembly in December 2010, to celebrate the widows on June 23 of every year, in recognition of the social and humanitarian status of widows and their children. And to reduce their suffering after the loss of their husbands, giving help to them and meet their needs, to face poverty and to enjoy their social rights with their children.
