Dar Al Ber Society has entertained the orphans registered with its branch in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) with an interesting trip to the RAK Book Fair which concluded few days back.
Ali Al Shehi, Manager of Dar Al Ber in Ras Al Khaimah, said the move is meant to enrich the orphans’ knowledge and bolster their Arabic and English language skills.
“The orphans have had a precious opportunity to develop their awareness during the visit to the 10th edition of the cultural extravaganza which is annually organized at the RAK Chamber of Commerce and Industry.”
He added that the orphans were helped to buy a number of valuable books and stories. “They were advised how to deal with the book sellers and how to choose an array of Islamic and scientific books.”
The young kids were enlightened how to be self-confident and self-dependent, Al Shehi underlined. “The book sellers and publishers were so cooperative that they advised the kids on the right books that best suit their age and mental abilility.”
Some of the publishers had further contributed some stories and smart books to the orphans, he said. “The young kids were so happy about the trip and the books they were gifted.”
