Dar Al Ber Society (DABS) has honoured 50 of its registered excellent orphans at different grades across the country at its headquarters on the Shaikh Zayed road, Dubai.
Present at the honouring ceremony were Abdullah Ali bin Zayed, Executive Director - DABS, Hussain Murad Al Balochi, Manager of Orphans & Families Department, Abdulazim Mohammed, Manager of Technical Office, and the renowned lecturer Abdullah Lashkuri, Manager of Positive Energy Centre.
In his inaugural speech, Abdullah Ali bin Zayed said that Islam is the greatest ever divine revelation that gives, protects and guarantees orphans’ financial, physical, and psychological rights.
“The UAE has always been a land of giving and commitment, setting a shiny exemplary example in supporting and giving for humanity, let alone adopting goodness, compassion, tolerance and affection.”
The orphans are part and parcel of a productive society that shows them love, looks after them, and cares for their success and progress, he added. “It is the responsibility of us all to assist this vulnerable segment of the society.”
Addressing the audience, Abdullah Lashkuri shed light on the importance and impact of positive practices and beliefs. “These have a significant influence on the individuals who truly have firm will and self-confidence, and end in their success.”
Official records show that Dar Al Ber is running a variety of activities and events all the year round to socially and psychologically support the listed 33,166 orphans who include 32,332 locally and 834 globally.
