Dar Al Ber launches new strategy of sustainability, tolerance, happiness

Dubai, UAE – Dar Al Ber Society (DABS) has launched its all new strategy, based on sustainability, tolerance, happiness and innovation, for the coming five years (2017-2020) at its headquarters on the Sheikh Zayed road.
The promising strategy, adhering to and promoting the religious, national, social and humanitarian principles of the country, pledges tireless effort to ease the suffering of indigent and low-income people locally and abroad, and make them happy.
Present at the function were H.E. Ibrahim Bu Melha, Adviser to the Ruler of Dubai for Cultural and Humanitarian Affairs, Khalfan Khalifa Al Mazrouie, Chairman –DABS, Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Executive Director – DABS, senior officials and dignitaries.
In his speech, Al Mazrouie expressed his profound appreciation to the UAE prudent leadership; the President H.H Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Members of the Supreme Council the Rulers of the country, for their sincere support to charitable and humanitarian works locally and globally.
“Dar Al Ber, considering the pioneering ‘Year of Giving’ initiative launched by the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, could not help developing its five-year strategy to cope with this unique drive of goodness.”
Al Falasi said the new strategy is adopting and focusing on central solutions to the problem of poverty from which one among eight people suffers worldwide. “These way outs consists of three sections, spanning long-term ones that target sustainability in charity work with a noble aim to introduce a quantum leap to indigent people’s life.”
The other solutions under the second section focus on bringing hope to people and make them happy, he added. “The third type of solutions concentrates on peaceful coexistence which ends in tolerance, though.”
To provide sustainable philanthropic services is the new vision of Dar Al Ber in its innovative strategy to create and boost tolerant and happy societies, Al Falasi pointed out.
“The Society is geared up to ensure three major objectives; first building endowment projects to ensure social sustainability, secondly, encouraging memorizing and reciting the Quran, developing awareness of the tolerance of Islam, bolstering the concept of showing obedience to the rulers, and avoiding division, extremism, and violence.”
Thirdly, Dar Al Ber is targeting the empowerment of women and involving them in charitable and cultural work, he noted. “Fourthly, the Society is to ensure high quality services to bring happiness to its customers.”
Al Falasi said that they are to develop new revenues through the Society updated media channels and social accounts. “These include a renovated website, all new smart application, and making contribution possible through the Dubai Government smart gate and Al Mashreq Bank ATM machines.”
Encouraging the culture of creativity and innovation amongst human resources to develop proper and better environments of operation is the fifth objective targeted under the new strategy, he elaborated.
“Dar Al Ber Society, since its inception in 1979, spares no effort to improve its services, boost its performance and develop people’s awareness about the true, genuine and tolerant teachings of Islam which ensures and protects human rights and has nothing to do with terrorism and extremism.”
The 37-year-old Society, is committed to philanthropic work through its main branch in Dubai, and centres in the emirates of Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah, in support to low-income people, Al Falasi underlined.
“Our charity projects, which cover all aspects of life, are done in collaboration with government and private entities, universities, and schools across the country, to spread and promote the culture of charitable and humanitarian work among all segments of the society.”
