Dar Al Ber launches the 50th charity campaign worth 10 million dirhams

The Dar Al Ber Society launched a wide-ranging humanitarian campaign focused on qualitative humanitarian initiatives extending to three continents, covering the UAE and eleven countries around the world, under the slogan '50th Charitable Campaign', to celebrate the 'Year of the 50th', and to dedicate the extended humanitarian journey and to highlight the path of civilization of the UAE, over the past 50 years, and the next 50. The country and its people are preparing to embark on the path of progress, construction, development, sustainability, innovation and creativity.
The national humanitarian campaign targets charitable, developmental and construction projects inside and outside the UAE, by collecting donations and support with a total value of up to 10 million dirhams.
'Humanitarian National Response'
His Excellency Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Board Member of the Dar Al Ber Society, stressed that the unique campaign constitutes an honest and effective national response to the country's growth, over the last 50 years and is heading towards the future with high confidence and firm steps, based on knowledge and hard work. And it represents a direct implementation of the vision and directives of our wise leadership, which was launched in the 50th year to prepare for an effective and sustainable transformation in the next 50, building the future, supporting the country’s achievements and enhancing the nation’s gains.
Al Falasi indicated that the expanded charitable campaign presents a selection of charitable projects and diverse and rich humanitarian initiatives, which bring benefit and sustainability to the country, society and the public. They are specifically aimed at the needy and people with limited income around the world, by collecting donations and support in order to help those who are vulnerable, especially the needy families, productive families and those in debt, this is in cooperation with a group of bodies and authorities of the Society's partners inside and outside the Emirates.
'Charity Projects Package'
Hisham Ali Al-Hashemi, Executive Vice President of the Dar Al Ber Society , indicated that the projects, which are included in the '50th charitable campaign', include five pivotal humanitarian charitable projects, which are the projects of food baskets, fruit trees, building houses, owning commercial kiosks, and those in debt and the release of prisoners. Pointing out that the campaign and its five humanitarian projects are supported by a number of the Society's partners in the public and private sectors.
7 channels to donate
Hisham Al Hashemi indicated that Dar Al Ber opens the doors of charity, donation and support for the campaign, through seven main channels, namely its bank accounts, its website, the customer service center at its headquarters and its branches in Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah and its representatives in various emirates of the country. Also the website link dedicated to donating to the campaign, social media programs, donation through partners, and SMS messages. He stressed that the Society’s philosophy and vision in charitable work and its humanitarian projects focuses on consolidating sustainability and productivity in charitable and humanitarian work.
'Food Baskets'
Al-Hashemi said: The 'Food Baskets' project is dedicated to the poor and needy and needy families inside and outside the UAE and in several countries, and aims to provide 50,000 food baskets, containing basic foodstuff, at a total cost of 5 million dirhams.
The 'Fruitful Tree' .. 50 thousand seedlings in 5 countries
He pointed out that the second project 'The fruitful Tree' is based on planting 50,000 fruit trees of various varieties, in eight of the needy countries of the world, distributed over three continents, Uganda, Egypt, Niger, Thailand, Albania, Burkina Faso, Indonesia, Comoros, which are trees for fruits such as avocado, pomegranate, jackfruit, mango, olive or lemon, banana or orange and others, with twenty seedlings for poor families and orphans.
'Building 50 homes for poor families'
According to Hisham Al-Hashemi, the third humanitarian project in the campaign is 'Building Houses', and it includes the construction of 50 houses for poor families outside the Emirates, in three countries, namely Egypt, Benin and Mali. Via external bodies of Dar Al Ber's partners in those countries.
'Owning commercial kiosks'
Al-Hashimi shed light on the fourth humanitarian project 'The ownership of commercial kiosks', which provides the ownership of 50 commercial kiosks for productive families, in the State of Thailand.
'Those in Debt'...the relieving of the distress of 50 prisoners
The Executive Vice President of Dar Al Ber confirmed that the fifth humanitarian project is focused in the UAE, and revolves around paying off the debts of prisoners due to financial cases, and involves the payment of the debts of 50 prisoners both citizens and residents, within the penal and correctional institutions in the UAE, to open a new window of hope to them and relieve their suffering
