Dar Al Ber Society announced the provision of generous support, amounting to 5 million dirhams, for the 'One Billion Meals' initiative, the largest of its kind in the region, organized by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, as a commitment by the Society to its charitable and humanitarian role, and an embodiment of its belief in the values of responsibility. community, and in furtherance of its national duties.

Dr. Muhammad Suhail Al Muhairi, CEO and Managing Director of the Dar Al Ber Society, confirmed that this support came in response to the initiative of our wise leadership, and an implementation of its directives and vision in launching the huge global humanitarian initiative, specifically during the blessed month of Ramadan, referring to the humanitarian response and broad national and popular interaction with the initiative by national humanitarian institutions, public and private sector institutions, families and society and its institutions in general in the UAE.

Dr. Al-Muhairi noted the great and exceptional success that the 'Billion Meals' initiative reaps, in light of societal cohesion, national solidarity and joint action, which leads to the success of the initiative and its campaign, and is conducive to achieving its lofty humanitarian and charitable goals.

He pointed out that the initiative enhances the UAE's position on the global charitable and humanitarian map, consolidates the reputation of the country, in the field of charitable work around the world, and highlights many of the country's gains in this vital sector at the global level, which have been achieved over the past decades, being at the forefront of the world in the field of foreign aid, in relation to the size of the gross national income.

The CEO of Dar Al Ber said: "The UAE's announcement of the launch of the 'Billion Meals Initiative' at the beginning of Ramadan to provide food support, which constitutes a qualitative addition to its Arab and international humanitarian efforts, to extend a helping hand and charity to all the poor and needy, without discrimination between race, religion or geographic area.
Al Muhairi indicated that the 'Billion Meals' initiative works to provide relief and support to the poor and needy in 50 countries around the world, and focuses on directing food support to the neediest social segments, such as vulnerable groups, including women, children, refugees, displaced persons, and victims of disasters and crises.

He stressed that the initiative pushes the UAE's charitable work journey forward, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, (may Allah protect him) and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the State , Ruler of Dubai (may Allah protect him), to provide relief to the desperate, the needy and the weak, within the framework of a sustainable and continuous approach to the various forms of charitable and humanitarian work in the UAE, in order to achieve major qualitative strides in the development of aid and relief campaigns and initiatives, directed to the needy worldwide.
