Dar Al Ber launches its Ramadan campaign, targeting 150 million dirhams for the poor and needy

Dar Al Ber Society launched a major Ramadan campaign, benefiting thousands of fasting and needy people around the world, with broad charitable and humanitarian goals and aspirations, and people with limited income during the blessed month, inside and outside the country, within many countries, and provide for their needs and meet their requirements.
High Ambition
Dr. Muhammad Suhail Al Muhairi, CEO and Managing Director of Dar Al Ber, stated during a press conference organized by the Society, at its headquarters on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, yesterday (Monday), that the Ramadan campaign for the current year (1444 AH - 2023 AD) bears the slogan 'Ramadan' ... with you the goodness completes' and it begins on the 6th of March, corresponding to the 14th of Sha'ban, and continues until the end of Ramadan.
"I am certain that this campaign has raised the level of its ambitions targets in a qualitative and large quantity to support the fasting, the needy, the poor, those with limited income, orphans, the sick, widows and others. And it seeks to achieve total revenues of up to 150 million dirhams, and it includes 16 Ramadan projects and a humanitarian and community charitable initiative, of which 4 are seasonal projects and initiatives."
They are the Iftar project which 240,000 people will benefit from, at a rate of 8,000 meals distributed daily to fasting people inside the country at a cost of 3 million dirhams, and 60,000 outside of the UAE at a total cost of 1,035,000 dirhams, so that the total budget allocated for the project is 4,035,000 dirhams. As well as the initiative to provide Eid clothing for 6,969 needy and orphans, with a value of 1, 288,000, the Zakat project Iftar for the benefit of 125,000 beneficiaries, at a cost of 2,500,000 dirhams, in addition to the Ramadan Basket project, at a total cost of 2, 500,000 dirhams, benefiting 10,400 beneficiaries during the Ramadan season.
Goodness and giving
According to Al-Muhairi, the Ramadan package, full of goodness and giving, includes 14 other projects and various initiatives, which are presented to the donors and charitable people with the aim of collecting donations from them during the Ramadan season, including the annual Zakat project, which continues throughout the year, with a budget of 65 million dirhams, and is spent among the eight zakat categories.
Providing food baskets, a total value of 4 million dirhams, supporting those affected by earthquakes, with a value of 10 million dirhams, building mosques, 10 million, treating the poor patients, 10 million, printing the Qur’an, 10 million, supporting education, 3 million, building 3 villages, with 12 million dirhams, sponsorship of orphans, 500,000 dirhams, support for debtors, 3 million, digging artesian wells, 10 million, and support for productive families, 5 million dirhams.
New Ramadan initiatives
Al Muhairi said: "The package of Ramadan charitable projects adopted and launched by Dar Al Ber this year includes new qualitative ideas and initiatives, including the initiative to break the fast of a family and an entire village outside the country, in addition to the two traditional seasonal projects during the blessed month, which are breaking the fast inside and outside the Emirates."
Inside and outside the Emirates
He referred to the distribution of the Eid clothing and the 'Ramadan Basket', consisting of main food supplies, in preparation for the holy month, to the poor and deserving in the UAE and a number of countries worldwide in which the Dar Al Ber Society operates within its scope, in cooperation and coordination with its strategic partners there, pointing to allocating special clothing for Eid for the benefit of the orphans, who are sponsored and cared for by the Society, through donations and alms from benefactors from its clients.
The CEO of Dar Al Ber confirmed that the Society is mobilizing this year all its staff, teams, material and logistical capabilities, and its administrative and humanitarian expertise, which it has accumulated over 44 years, to achieve exceptional and historic success for the Ramadan campaign this year.
To achieve its societal charitable goals, and support the fasting and the afflicted, the poor and needy and meet their needs, especially considering the exceptional circumstances and the severe humanitarian crisis in the region and the world, which was left by the earthquake in Syria and Turkey.
