Dar Al Ber Society undertook the expenses of treating 405 patients from the segment of low-income people of different nationalities during the first half of the current year 2023 within the UAE at a total cost of 12,162,420 dirhams.

Dr. Muhammad Suhail Al Muhairi, CEO and Managing Director of Dar Al Ber Society, explained that this number of cases of sick people afflicted with various diseases benefited from the medical humanitarian support of the Society during the period from January to June of this year, in light of contributions and support of benefactors and generous people, including individuals, businessmen, affluent people, and institutions in the private and public sector.

Al Muhairi stated that the Department of Zakat and Community Service in Dar Al Ber and other departments apply an integrated system and mechanisms and accurate and comprehensive survey processes in the field and in the office about the extent to which patients with medical conditions are entitled to health material assistance and bear the costs of treatment on their behalf.

With applicants completing all documents and official papers that prove their health and financial condition, considering their inability to pay the costs of treatment, with the aim of ensuring that aid reaches only those who deserve it.

Al Muhairi stressed that the treatment programs and medical aid receive great attention and that Dar Al Ber is keen to adhere to the state's policy and implement the vision and directives of our wise leadership, in all its charitable projects and humanitarian initiatives.

Also, that is committed to applying the policy of governance and transparency and the highest standards of accuracy in various fields and its operations to ensure that the deserving needy receive aid in general and to promote community development and sustainability within the country.

Electronic and traditional donation channels

Youssef Al Yateem, Assistant CEO of the Zakat and Projects Sector said: “Dar Al Ber opens several electronic and traditional channels to donate in favor of needy patients and others, including via the website, representatives in commercial centers, and customer service centers in Dubai, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah and via weekly radio programmes.

He stressed that Dar Al Ber seeks to facilitate its clients, benefactors, supporters, donors, and beneficiaries of its diverse and integrated package of services, stressing that the Society gives priority to supporting humanitarian cases, who are unable to pay the costs of their treatment.
