Al Ber Project wins 3 advanced positions in Islamic Affairs competition Three students from the Al Ber Project for Memorizing the Holy Qur’an, affiliated with the Dar Al Ber Society, won high positions in the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments Award for Memorizing the Holy Qur’an, for the year 2023. Male and female students in Qur’an memorization centres and circles affiliated with the Authority, school students, inmates of penal and correctional institutions in the country, people of determination, and members of centres and institutions concerned with this category participate in the annual award of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs. Dar Al Ber Society explained that its students who won the three advanced positions were two UAE national students and one Indian student. Dr. Muhammad Suhail Al Muhairi, CEO and Managing Director of Dar Al Ber Society, said: “The students of the Society’s Qur’an project, from the male section, participating in the competition, who won first places, are Abdul Aziz Khalid Al Khawaja, an Emirati, who won 1st place in the 20th portion branch, and Hamoud Nasser Al-Saadi, an Emirati, won 2nd place in the 10th portion branch, and Issa Muhammad Akram, an Indian, won 2nd place in the 5th portion branch.” Dr Muhammad Al Muhairi said that Dar Al Ber attaches special and exceptional importance to memorizing the Holy Qur’an, supporting, caring for, and qualifying its memorizers and those who are about to memorize it, and honing their skills in its recitation and various sciences related to the Book of Allah, Blessed and Most High, while the Society seeks to develop the sector of memorizing the Qur’an, by harnessing modern technologies and smart services and activating the concepts of creativity and innovation. Al Muhairi stressed the importance of educating young people and successive generations, the people of the UAE and those residing in its land, on the values and morals of the Qur’an, in light of its effective and fruitful role in establishing moderation, tolerance, education and behavioural correction, confronting abnormal morals, negative behaviours and social ills, and promoting community solidarity and national cohesion.
