Dar Al Ber Society allocated AED 32,071,075 for an integrated package of core and seasonal charitable projects and humanitarian initiatives undertaken by the Society's Zakat and Community Services Department in the UAE during the third quarter of this year (2024).

Dr. Mohammed Suhail Al Muhairi, CEO and Managing Director of Dar Al Ber, stated that 27,517 community cases benefited from the Society's core and seasonal projects during July, August, and September of this year across various Emirates, aiding citizens and residents of different nationalities.

Core Projects

Dr. Mohammed Al Muhairi explained in detail that Dar Al Ber's Zakat Department carried out ten humanitarian projects and initiatives over the past three months, including five essential projects focused on critical living services. With a total cost of AED 30,237,069, these projects benefited 4,864 humanitarian cases. Core projects included support for the education sector in the UAE, covering tuition fees for low-income students, housing support for low-income families, a healthcare initiative aimed at covering medical expenses for those unable to pay, as well as "Other Assistance" and "General Expenses" allocations.

Seasonal Projects

Yousef Abdullah Al Yateem, Assistant CEO for the Zakat and Community Development sector, highlighted that five key initiatives were implemented in the third quarter of this year at a total cost of AED 1,834,006, benefiting 22,653 social cases. These initiatives included the sacrificial meat project to provide meat to low-income families, the "Feeding the Food Project" benefiting thousands from low-income backgrounds, and the summer initiative, which supplied necessary home appliances to combat high temperatures and humidity. Additionally, water coolers were distributed in selected labor areas in Dubai, in coordination with relevant entities, along with a "School Bags" project providing bags and essential supplies for students from low-income families.
