Dar Al Ber female memorisers shine in Quran contests 158 students rewarded 35 times in 15 months

Female students of ‘Al Ber Quran Memorisation Project’, a pioneering project of Dar Al Der Society, did pretty well in so many Quran competitions held across the country in 15 months.
Showing exceptional performance, Dar Al Ber female students were outstandingly rewarded 35 times by several entities across the country, last year, and the first quarter of this year 2017.
Official records show that 32 students of the Quranic program managed to fully memorise the Quran while 12 others were accredited for teaching Quran, according to a top official.
Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Executive Director of Dar Al Ber, said the ‘Al Ber Quran Memorisation’ project saw the participation of 158 memorisers in 12 Quran competitions and awards organised across the UAE in 2016, and the first three months of this year 2017.
“Up to 65 of them remarkably secured the top positions whereas the project itself was rewarded several times in 2016 and this year so far in the emirates of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain.”
Dar Al Ber Quran local and expatriate memorisers, showing exceptional performance in terms of Quran recitation and memorisation, have participated in all the Quran contests across the country, he added.
“These included the Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum Quran Contest - 18th edition, Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed Quran Contest, Sheikha Hesa bint Mohamed Al Nahyan Quran Contest, and the Princess Haya bint Al Hussain Centres Quran Contest.”
These are added to the 7th edition of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments Quran Contest, Maktoum Centres Quran Contest, 17th edition of the Ras Al Khaimah Quran Contest, 10th edition of the Ajman Quran Contest, 9th edition of the Rashid bin Ahmed Al Mualla Quran Contest, Quran and Sunnah Award, National Memoriser Quran Contest, and the Hassan Rashid Al Abbar Ramadan Contest, he elaborated.
Asma Al Rayes, Head of Women Affairs Sector with Dar Al Ber, said the A; Ber Quran students managed to seize the top positions in all categories of the Quran competitions they chipped in.
“Up to 1,279 students are enrolled in the Al Ber Quran Memorisation’ project while the female section successfully organised some 405 diverse educational, social, religious, and entertaining activities last year.”
These are added to the National Quran Memoriser Contest, Quran Study Centres Contest, Rashid Al Mualla Quran Contest, as well as the Sharjah Quran and Sunnah Contest.
