Al Falasi: Drive reflects deeply-rooted giving culture in UAE

Dubai, UAE: Dar Al Ber Society has entered into an agreement with the Dubai Municipality to support the UAE Food Bank drive initiated by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai early this year.

The promising initiative, chaired by the wife of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, is administered by the civic body here.

The UAE Food Bank drive, which coincided with 11th accession day of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, falls under the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation.

Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Executive Director of Dar Al Ber, said the Society will cooperate with the Dubai Municipality to make a big success of the pioneering charity initiative.

“We shall provide all support needed to meet the set charity objectives,” he said while inking the work charter of the drive that started operating its first site at the Al Qouz Industrial area in the presence of a big number of entities and dignitaries.

The initiative is part of the shiny procession of giving deeply-rooted in the UAE since the time of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder of the country, he added.

“The drive shows how persistent the UAE leadership is to extend white hands to whosoever in need for help in every nook and corner across the globe, disregard their religion, language, colour, and ethnic background.”
