Dar Al Ber adopts ‘Dubai Font’ in its correspondence

Dubai, UAE: Dar Al Ber Society has started using the ‘Dubai Font’ in its correspondence in pursuance of the directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of the emirate.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan, launching the all new font, has instructed all government entities in the emirate of Dubai to adopt the font in their official and daily correspondence with all government departments, private and public entities, and civil society organisations.
Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Executive Director of Dar Al Ber, said the Society is all set to cope with the initiatives of the UAE prudent leadership and efficiently interact with the projects and plans of Dubai Government in support to the emirate’s thorough development and civilized achievements.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan has launched ‘Dubai Font’ as Microsoft’s first font to be created and designed by a city and named after it in line with the UAE’s vision to become a regional and global leader in innovation, and as a boost to its continuous efforts to be ranked first in the digital world.
“The new font, with its unique specifications, will prove popular among other fonts across the world. All government entities are urged to use the ‘Dubai Font’ in their official correspondence to boost the emirate’s competitiveness in smart technology. This should be a commitment from the Dubai Government to guarantee the dissemination and success of this initiative locally and globally.”
Sheikh Hamdan was introduced to the minutiae of the ‘Dubai Font’, which sets it apart from many other fonts available throughout the world. He lauded its meticulous design that combines the authenticity of the past and the aspirations of the future, crossing all borders and barriers to give every person, wherever they may be, the means to express themselves.
