Dubai, UAE: Dar Al Ber Society (DABS), committed to philanthropic work locally and abroad, is running a variety of 21 charitable and humanitarian projects in Nepal.
An official delegation from the 37-year-old charity association, based in Dubai, paid a visit to the Asian country where they were briefed about the updates of the 21 philanthropic projects being assumed by Dar Al Ber there.
Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Executive Director of Dar Al Ber, said the promising schemes cover a span of social and religious sectors in Nepal. “These are being carried out in collaboration with accredited entities in a number of disadvantaged villages and towns there.”
The delegation included Abdulkarim Jaafar Al Hassan, Head of Eastern Asia & Europe Department, and Hassan Saleh Al Ali, Office Manager of Projects Director at Dar Al Ber Society.
Al Falasi said the visit is in line with the policy and new plans of the charity projects department which are based on direct communication with strategic partners and foreign entities all over the world.
“The field visits help Dar Al Ber follow up the development of the charity projects agreed upon. All the schemes must be up to the blueprints, designs, specifications, and prices earlier decided.”
Al Falasi added that the visit covers accomplished and ongoing projects by the authorised entities there. “We sometimes urge our partners to speed up the procedures to get the projects completed as early as possible or as scheduled, yet according to the standards requested.”
The delegation had an extensive meeting with the entities authorized for carrying out the projects, following which they gave their remarks and recommendations, he stated. “We discussed the best possible ways for carrying out the projects as due.”
Dar Al Ber delegation had, meanwhile, visited the several villages where they were briefed about the charity projects being done there. “Such follow up trips are inevitable to closely identify the actual needs of those indigent people and give a boost to Dar Al Ber charity projects abroad.”
The delegation, later, visited the UAE embassy in Katmandu the capital where they met with the Emirati officials and diplomats there and discussed possible ways of cooperation and recommended charity projects.
Imran Mohamed Abdullah, head of charity projects sector, said Dar Al Ber is dedicated to assisting anyone in need for help wherever they are, ease their suffering, and fulfil their basic needs.
“All our tolerance, giving, and compassion values are deeply rooted in the UAE, and are in line with teachings of Islam and the directives of the country prudent leadership to spread the spirit of tolerance everywhere.”
