Dubai, UAE – Dar Al Ber Society (DABS) spent Dh3,376,902 on 47 humanitarian cases promoted on its accounts on social media during the first half of this year (22017).
The promising drive, accomplished in collaboration with the UAE Barq and UAE Vision, has helped end the suffering of these indigent people whose cases were posted on social media and were assisted with the help philanthropists here.
Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Executive Director of Dar Al Ber, said the Zakat and Community Service Department in the Society has thoroughly studied the cases and promoted them on social media.
“Only the most needy people and low-income patients were supported and their needs were met under this pioneering drive.”
Al Falasi then paid tributes to Khalid Safar Al Harmoudi, UAE Barq Director General, and Abdullah Al Shehi, Executive Director of UAE Vision, for their support to humanitarian cases.
Mohammed Suhail Al Muhairi, Head of Community Service Sector, said the Zakat and Community Service Department paid 98 field visits to the applicants to closely study their cases.
“These field visits were meant to verify the cases and exact needs of the applicants and decide on the nature of the aids required to end their suffering.”
